SOUTH AFRICA – South Africa has manufactured rapid Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test kits in an effort to stop relying on imports and improve the country’s competitiveness. In a statement, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Blade Nzimande, said CapeBio, a local biotechnology company, has started manufacturing the PCR test kits with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). SAMRC to receive 100,000 orient gene rapid antibody test kits

SOUTH AFRICA – The South Africa Medical Research Council (SARMC), which has been playing a central role in the South African response to the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitating dialogue and leading and supporting several major research studies is set to receive 100000 Covid-19 rapid test kits.
