INDIA – Pharma major Sanofi India has announced the appointment of Preeti Futnani as the company’s General Manager – Vaccines.

Futnani was the franchise head for Dupixent Dermatology at Sanofi’s Greater Gulf MCO (a cluster of six nations that includes Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait).

According to the company, Futnani has over two decades of expertise in development and transformation across numerous therapeutic areas and activities within healthcare (primary and specialized care, medical technology) and finance.

We are committed to safeguarding the Indian population from vaccine preventable diseases, at every stage of life, by leveraging the protective power of vaccination,” Futnani was quoted saying by Business Today.

Futnani joined Sanofi over six years ago in Specialty Care Gulf, following a series of more responsible roles in Novartis marketing and commercial operations in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and India.

She has held senior marketing, sales, and management positions in a variety of industries, ranging from developed markets in the United Kingdom and Europe to growing markets in Asia and the Middle East.

Futnani takes over from Annapurna Das, who has been promoted to Asia’s Head of Vaccines.

Earlier on in April, Sanofi India’s Board of Directors appointed Rodolfo Hrosz as the Company’s new Managing Director with effect from June 1, 2022, subject to regulatory approvals.

He will transition from being Sanofi’s General Manager, Consumer Healthcare business in Brazil to his new role in India as soon as the applicable regulatory approvals are in place.

Rodolfo joined Sanofi as General Manager of the Consumer Healthcare business in Brazil in 2017 and has successfully led the organization through several transformative stages, right from the business unit’s inception to it becoming a top growth contributor and a digital-acceleration reference point within the Sanofi Group.

He will transition from being Sanofi’s General Manager, Consumer Healthcare business in Brazil to his new role in India.

Prior to joining Sanofi, he worked with Pfizer, LVMH, Heineken and Procter & Gamble in the USA and in Brazil.
