UAE – Aster DM Healthcare has hired Rahul Kadavakolu as the Group’s Chief Marketing Officer as it positions itself for future growth.

In his new role, Kadavakolu will oversee Aster DM Healthcare’s brand, marketing, and communications strategies as well as the Go to Market strategy across the company.

He will lead the brand, marketing, and business development function for the Group by aligning closely with the strategic vision of the healthcare organization.

Speaking on his new stint, Rahul Kadavakolu, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Aster DM Healthcare, said: “I am thrilled to be joining an amazing leadership team and contributing to the organization’s strategic goals and community.”

He underscored that Aster is a transformational leader in the healthcare industry, adding that health and wellness have become a top priority and center forward in everyone’s life.

The appointment comes amid the diversification of the company’s business portfolio and its ongoing evolution and foray into different markets.

Kadavakolu brings a great wealth of knowledge and international expertise, thereby he will play an essential role in Aster’s journey to global expansion.

Rahul has over 22 years of experience in strategy, branding, marketing, communication, sports, and entertainment projects spanning across industries,” the organization said in a release.

Before his tenure at Aster, Rahul worked at Rakuten Group, a conglomerate operating over 70 businesses, where he was in charge of global branding, marketing, and partnerships on behalf of the group.

He played a transformational role in Rakuten’s growth and development by striking partnership deals with household names such as FC Barcelona, Golden State Warriors, National Basketball Association (NBA), and Davis Cup.

Besides leading the global sports business, Rahul helped build strong associations with Stephen Curry, Andres Iniesta, Messi’s Cirque Du Soleil show, and Shakira’s Eldorado World Tour.

He has working experience in advertising at Hakuhodo Percept, where he managed a portfolio of Domestic and Japanese brands. Moreover, he has worked for Ogilvy and Mather.

In addition to working in the IT and digital services industry, Rahul’s longest stint was with Wipro where he held leadership positions within the brand and marketing function.
