BAHRAIN – The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) is in advanced talks with Sehatu Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) arm of the global sleep care company, to set up a hi-tech facility for sleep care services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

With an emphasis on science-backed holistic treatment, Sehatu provides personalized sleep care for the entire spectrum of sleep symptoms to improve physical and mental well-being.

The California-based company uses technology and holistic, personalized treatments backed by mainstream science to make the best sleep care accessible to everyone.

We’re tackling the root causes of sleep problems and advocating for people’s mental and physical health,” Sehatu says on its site.

NHRA and Sehatu Arabia, a subsidiary of the leading sleep-care services provider, are working together to launch a specialised clinic in Bahrain that will help to diagnose and treat sleep disorders in the region.

In addition, the partnership will contribute to facilitating the access of citizens and residents to the best sleep care services and achieving NHRA’s goal in providing the latest health services for all.

The two parties reviewed aspects of co-operation to provide comprehensive sleep care services in Bahrain during a meeting between Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NHRA Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma and Sehatu Arabia CEO and consultant sleep specialist and neurologist, Dr. Amer Khan.

In addition, officials representing both companies discussed ways to raise awareness about sleep problems and how to treat them, with Dr. Al Jalahma reaffirming NHRA’s readiness to support Sehatu Arabia to provide innovative services.

NHRA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Al Jalahma said: “Efforts are on to enhance co-operation with various leading health and medical institutions to continue improving the level of health services provided to all members of society.”

Speaking on the cooperation agreement, Dr. Amer Khan lauded NHRA for its support, noting that it would enable the company to provide services for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in Bahrain.

The company is working diligently to facilitate access to sleep care services in modern and effective ways to support individuals and help them lead a healthy and happy life,” the Sehatu Founder said.

He disclosed that sleep medicine services have been started for athletes and partnership and co-operation contracts have been signed with some of the leading institutions in the field of professional sports in Bahrain.

Recently, KHK Sports, the number one sports business company in the Middle East, and BRAVE CF, the fastest-growing MMA organisation in the world, founded in Bahrain, entered into a strategic partnership with Sehatu Arabia.

The partnership aims to provide athletes with innovative access to sleep studies that will improve performance and get them closer to their goals.

It will allow KHK Sports and BRAVE CF to select the top 20 athletes across all sports to be put on a recovery programme that is of the highest standards in world sports, through Sehatu Arabia facilities in Bahrain and give the selected athletes access to all Sehatu Arabia’s specialised technologies and expert doctors.

Under the deal, Sehatu Arabia will provide sleep assessments and training to KHK Sports athletes and staff, with the aim of improving their performance and helping them sleep better.

The partnership will also have a positive impact on the youth of Bahrain by promoting the importance of sleep and providing resources to help athletes sleep better while setting a standard for sports in Bahrain.
