SOUTH AFRICA – Global biopharmaceutical company Sonoma Pharmaceuticals Incorporated has launched a urinary tract infection catheter and bladder rinse named Microdox in South Africa to improve the quality of life for patients.
The urinary tract infection product reduces infections, itching, pain, scarring and harmful inflammatory responses in a safe and effective manner.
Microdox is a unique bladder irrigation which is effective at a urinary tract infection prevention as well as treatment for the removal of urinary tract infection-causing bacteria, bacterial biofilms and drug-resistant strains
Formerly known as Oculus Innovative Sciences, Sonoma Pharma develops, manufactures and markets a family of Microcyn Technology-based products intended to help prevent and treat infections in chronic and acute wounds.
Its ultra-modern patented platform called Microcyn is a non-irritating proprietary oxychlorine formulation designed to treat a wide range of pathogens, including antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores.
Microdox is a ready to use non-irritating solution based on Sonoma’s Microcyn Technology intended to treat and prevent infections in the urinary tract and bladder.
The Microdox rollout is operational through Sonoma’s partners namely privately owned Te Arai BioFarma in New Zealand and Australia and medical product supplier NuAngle in South Africa.
The new product will offer urinary tract infections prevention while offering health solutions to patients that have been struggling with complicated, antibiotic resistant and recurrent urinary tract infections.
Earlier, Sonoma Pharma launched its first Over-the-Counter (OTC) products in the United States on Amazon and a new consumer-focused product on Amazon in Europe available for customer orders.
Sonoma offered its products as prescription products available only from physicians but the OTC launch creates an additional line of Sonoma products marketed directly to consumers.
Regenacyn Advanced Scar Gel which is clinically proven to improve the overall appearance of scars and Ocucyn Eyelid & Eyelash Cleanser which is an effective solution for good eyelid & eyelash hygiene was introduced on Amazon.com to the United States.
On the other hand, MucoClyns which is a personal decontamination solution for the face and skin was launched on Amazon sites in Europe.
It is also safe to use on mucous membranes, cuts, abrasions, burns and body surfaces for treatment immediately after unexpected exposure to infection risk.
