KENYA – MP Shah Hospital, a 240-bed facility located in Nairobi, has launched a five-year strategic plan in a move to refocus on the hospital’s vision, mission and values.
The strategy labelled AMUA (Always Maintaining Uniformity of Awesome Care), is part of the hospital’s journey of tiny but steady steps upward.
“Healthcare innovation has resulted in improvement in products, technology and service delivery that have shown improvements in life expectancy, quality of life and clinical outcomes. This has also improved efficiency, reduced costs and human errors,” said Dr Toseef Din, CEO, MP Shah Hospital.
The hospital has, over the years, been ranked among the best private hospitals in Kenya because of its excellent standards and high quality of services and personal care it provides.
The hospital’s scope of social service includes the main hospital in Parklands, the Village Market Medical Clinic, and the Dinshaw Byramjee Dispensary and Dental Unit located in Nairobi downtown, at Ronald Ngala Street.

MP Shah Hospital has been recognized as a national referral facility with ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification. They are also affiliated to COSECSA (College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa), an independent body that fosters postgraduate education in surgery and provides surgical training.
The hospital has a track record of mobilizing blood drives to help comminutes in Kenya. Recently, the hospital saw a huge gathering of selfless members of The Kenya Tour Driver Guides Association who turned up at M.P. Shah Hospital to donate blood.
This initiative, which raised 110 pints of blood, was in partnership with Team Pankaj, a group of humanitarians who have been in the fore- front to mobilize for resources towards the support of families and individuals who have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
MP Shah has also made tremendous efforts in helping with the fight against COVID. In April, guided by its vision of providing quality healthcare services, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic, MP Shah Hospital launched an oxygen tank in addition to its existing hospital oxygen plant capacity.
The tank was launched at a time when Kenya was experiencing acute Oxygen shortage across many healthcare facilities risking the lives of patients with chronic health conditions and those in ICU.
In his remarks during the launch, the hospital Board Chairman Dr. Manoj Shah applauded the efforts of the senior management team at M.P. Shah hospital for their quick response to the needs of the rising cases of critical care patients.
