INDIA – Fujifilm India, a global leader in medical diagnostic devices and radio imaging, has installed the country’s first state-of-the-art Endobronchial Ultrasound System (EBUS) at ESIC Medical College & Hospital in Faridabad to aid doctors in advanced lung disease diagnosis.

On the occasion of International Labor Day, the inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Bhupender Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister of Labor and Employment, and Krishna Pal Gujjar, Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries.

The system, which was installed in the Hospital’s Respiratory Medicine Department, was inaugurated by ESIC Medical Commissioner Dr. Anshu Chhabra, Mukhmeet S Bhatia (Director General), and TL Yaden (financial commissioner).

Dr Asim Das, Dean of ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, Dr M K Sen, Head of Department – Respiratory Medicine, and Prof Ruchi Arora Sachdeva were also in attendance.

The Endobronchial Ultrasound System (EBUS) is intended to aid in the diagnosis and staging of a variety of lung disorders.

With its improved distal angulation and slim design, this bronchoscope allows doctors to use it in novel ways in a variety of procedures.

Bronchoscopy assists doctors in diagnosing lung disorders such as inflammation, cancer, or infections.

The EBUS scope uses a video camera and ultrasound probe to image the lungs and lymph nodes for accurate location and evaluation of the system through a tube that goes from the patient’s mouth to the windpipe and lungs.

The installation of EBUS at the ESIC Hospital in Faridabad marks the start of a new chapter in Fujifilm’s journey in India.

Passing the 50,000 milestone, the brand has also released a campaign video outlining the company’s deep focus on improving healthcare in India and importance of access to diagnostic services. To view the video, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mpezyf6I3M.

The campaign highlighted Fujifilm’s achievements in the medical imaging and devices division, which is constantly working to raise awareness about healthier lifestyle choices through disease detection.

Scenaria View, Supria series, The Echelon Smart, and Arietta series are among the new additions to the portfolio.
