KENYA – CEO of M.P. Shah Hospital Dr. Toseef Din has been awarded the 40 under 40 Africa Award under the Health & Wellness Category for her commitment to education and innovation along with her unique mix of skills and leadership qualities.

Dr. Toseef Din is responsible for creating a patient-centered and digital health care system that delivers high-quality services to Kenyans at the M.P Shah Hospital.

Under her leadership, MP Shah Hospital has realized a number of projects including the Diabetes Care Centre, a new pediatric unit, the launch of the bariatric surgery program, a kidney transplant programme, the launch of the new village medical center among others achievements.

Dr. Din was nominated in the health and wellness category alongside Dr. Eurika Magane of South Africa and Noble Prof. Raphael Marketer Obu of Ghana.

The Forty Under 40 Awards Africa is organized by a Ghanaian Company seeking to identify, honour and celebrate young people who have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries from a cross-section of the continent.

The chosen nominees are the most influential and accomplished young change makers under the age of forty who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community development.

Earlier, ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru meet with the nine Kenyan youth nominees selected to represent Kenya for the African awards scheduled to take place on 26th March 2022 in Accra, Ghana.

The other Kenyan nominees include Ruth Mueni, Robert Belle, Maryben Omollo, Joan Musumba, Christine Agola, Rose Ronoh, Antony Gacheru and Sosthen Eugine.

Dr. Toseef Din emerged winner and received the 40 under 40 Africa Award for her exemplary contribution to health alongside fellow Kenyans award receivers in other categories namely Ruth Mueni, Mayben Omollo and Christine Ogolla.

Maryben Omollo was awarded the 40 under 40 Africa Award under the Hospitality category for providing professional cleaning services focused on pest control and supporting women and single mothers with employment.

Christine Agola was recognized for her contributions as a youth empowerment and climate change specialist focused on building community development while Ruth Mueni was honored under the Communications and Advertising category.

At the 40 under 40 Africa Award event, Dr. Toseef acknowledged her team at the M.P. Shah Hospital who have supported her constantly and given her kind words that have been meaningful to her journey.

This award is a reminder that each of us can do great things in the spaces we have been appointed to,” further said Dr. Toseef Din.

She joined 39 other dignitaries from across Africa including Uganda’s Robert Ssentamu who is popularly known as Bobi Wine, Janet TayoFaremi from Nigeria and Mohammed Ezzeldin from Egypt.

Also present at the event was honorable dignitaries including African countries ambassadors to Ghana from Egypt, Morocco, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia and Kenya.
