NETHERLANDS – Avantor, Inc., a global provider of products and services to the life sciences, advanced technologies, and applied materials industries, has announced the opening of a new single-use facility in Hillegom, Netherlands.
The facility is Avantor’s second single-use location in Europe, following its Tilburg, Netherlands location, and adds significantly to the company’s overall cleanroom capacity in the region, serving regional and global customers.
The Hillegom facility, located in the Dutch industrial corridor between Amsterdam and Leiden, enables Avantor to manufacture, package, and deliver single-use solutions that support all stages of biologics manufacturing, including upstream, downstream, and fill-finish.
Avantor, a Fortune 500 company, is a global leader in providing mission-critical products and services to customers in the biopharma.
Avantor, in addition to its biopharmaceutical capabilities, provides advanced healthcare materials such as high-purity silicones, proven diagnostic solutions, and nutraceutical products to a wide range of healthcare needs.
Its diagnostic solutions include reagents and analytical systems for applications such as histology, hematology and immunology.
Moreover, it also provides clinical diagnostic systems used to collect, transport, and test biological specimens, thus helping to improve the quality and affordability of diagnostic tools.
Its global presence allows it to serve over 225,000 customer locations and provides it with extensive access to research laboratories and scientists in over 180 countries, setting Science in motion to make the world a better place.

Avantor’s global single-use footprint also includes multiple sites in the United States, as well as a site in Changzhou, China, acquired as part of the Company’s recent acquisition of RIM Bio.
In addition, Avantor recently announced its intention to acquire Masterflex, a leading global manufacturer of peristaltic pumps and aseptic single-use fluid transfer technologies, which will expand its offering across all bioproduction platforms.
