INDIA – Amrita Hospitals has raised the bar for health care delivery in Faridabad with the launch of its specialized clinic for asthma care, treatment, and support.

The Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Amrita Hospital in Faridabad has launched its ultra-modern Asthma Clinic that will cater to asthma patients of all severity levels.

In a press release, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad said: “The specialized asthma clinic aims to provide comprehensive and high-quality care.”

The first-of-its-kind clinic in Faridabad will provide all investigations that are relevant to asthma under one roof as well as offer advanced diagnostic testing to enhance the patient experience.

In addition, the asthma care clinic will offer testing to individuals who are eligible for biologics, thereby benefitting patients with very severe asthma who require certain drugs such as biologics.

Dr. Sanjeev K. Singh, Medical Director of Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, reaffirmed to patients that the facility will offer cutting-edge medical services to those suffering from an extreme form of asthma.

He observed that bronchial asthma is a common condition in adults and children, noting that it is a poorly managed respiratory ailment in India.

Dr. Sanjeev pointed out that patients with asthma require comprehensive management of their disease and very often need specialist advice for their management.

Difficulties in management results in frequent emergency hospital admissions and repeated investigations with costs for both individuals and the healthcare system.

In addition, the Medical Director outlined that those with severe asthma require certain investigations and management protocols, which are only available at a few specialist centers.

We are delighted to launch this precision clinic that will be a benchmark in healthcare excellence and will be patient-centric, affordable, and accessible to all segments of the population,” Dr. Sanjeev said.

The launch of the specialized clinic comes days after the Faridabad-based Amrita Hospital installed the da Vinci Xi surgical system that offers surgeons multi-quadrant access to conduct a variety of complex surgical procedures.

Amrita Hospital, Faridabad received the ultra-modern surgical system from American technology leader Intuitive, which has advanced minimally invasive care through advanced robotic systems, end-to-end learning, and value-added services.

With this, the hospital now offers new age surgical technology to patients for uro-surgical, gastro-surgical, gynaec-oncologic, cardiothoracic, general surgeries, and head and neck cancer surgeries,” the hospital said.

Furthermore, robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery results in less pain and blood loss, fewer complications, and quicker recovery time compared to traditional surgery while expanding the surgeon’s capabilities and delivering better clinical outcomes.
