UAE – American Hospital Dubai has entered an international strategic partnership with Enterprise Ireland focused on advancing health and life science through commercialisation, innovation, and research.
American Hospital Dubai and Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Government’s trade and innovation agency, have agreed to improve patient health and care experience through innovative medical devices, digital health solutions, and therapeutics.
Under the partnership agreement, the two parties will regularly engage to help match the innovation needs of American Hospital, a premier private healthcare provider in the Middle East, with leading healthcare innovators in Ireland.
The partnership provides facilitation for American Hospital clinicians and executives to exchange knowledge and experience with Ireland. Doctors can choose to visit Ireland to see first-hand the healthcare innovations in action and development.
In addition, the two parties will work closely to explore potential areas for the development and commercialization of innovations between the UAE-based medical care giant and leading healthcare companies supported by Enterprise Ireland.
They will cooperate to introduce and validate medical products and services provided by Irish health innovators across American Hospital sites.
In addition to engaging in mutually beneficial opportunities, American Hospital Dubai and Enterprise Ireland will partner on research collaboration focused on identifying opportunities for clinical research and clinical trial activities.
The joint statement said: “This partnership will provide gateway opportunities for Irish companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to collaborate with the American Hospital Dubai to solve health challenges and increase access to cutting-edge healthcare innovation.”
Sherif Beshara, Group Chief Executive Officer at American Hospital, signed the agreement on behalf of the UAE’s leading healthcare provider and Jennifer Melia, who is the Executive Director of Enterprise Ireland, signed on behalf of the agency.
Commenting on the new deal, Sherif Beshara, CEO of American Hospital Dubai, said: “It is a privilege to be the first private healthcare facility in the Middle East to join hands with Enterprise Ireland on this landmark partnership.”
She pointed out that the partnership with Enterprise Ireland will open new horizons in healthcare innovations, patient care, and medical solutions while expressing her readiness to work with Ireland in unlocking new growth opportunities.
